SWIIM CEO Kevin France speaks at the California Irrigation Institute 2020 annual conference in Sacramento, on the topic of the technical skill sets
needed in today’s agricultural sector.
He spoke about the challenges of combining agriculture and technology, two sectors that historically are very different. Finding employees that retain both the agricultural expertise and the required technical skills can be challenging.

“It is not just about putting flow meters on your pipe, nor just about looking at satellite maps for consumption. It must be integrated data to be truly useful.”

He mentioned that SWIIM’s clients tell us that the only methods growers have currently to account for water are antiquated and inaccurate. They see the need to secure their water resources well into the future.
